We believe that birth and death are not opposites, but two creative movements on the same spectrum of existence. Just as birth opens a doorway into form, death opens a doorway into the next chapter of becoming. The Story Waters Foundation honors this ongoing continuity by preserving Story’s teachings and carrying his creative vision forward—offering spaces where transformation, awakening, and conscious living can flourish.

STORY WATERS
1972 - 2025

Story Waters was a visionary spiritual teacher and author whose work focused on the themes of self-liberation, conscious creation, and awakening to one’s limitless nature.

Born in Brighton, England, Story later moved to the United States with his husband and Visionary Artist, Roger Hanson, where they worked closely together creating self-empowerment experiences throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Asia. In 2022, Story and Roger eventually settled in the town of Owego, New York where Story lived until his passing.

With a deeply compassionate and radically empowering voice, Story spoke and wrote about bridging the human and spiritual self, helping thousands of readers and listeners reconnect with their inner knowing. Through books, live teachings, online broadcasts, and collaborative works, Story built a loyal following drawn to his clarity, warmth, and message of non-dogmatic freedom.

His most widely known books amongst his 30+ titles include You Are God. Get Over It!, The Messiah Seed, and Courageous Souls: Eternal Wisdom to Navigate Our Collective Awakening, many of which achieved bestseller status in the categories of self-help and spirituality.

Readers on platforms like Amazon consistently praise his work for its "life-changing insight," "pure authenticity," and "ability to speak directly to the soul."

Story's legacy continues through his written works, his recordings, and now through the work of the Foundation created in his honor.

His message was simple but profound: freedom is not something to earn, but something to remember within yourself.

Board of Directors

The Story Waters Foundation is guided by a Board of Directors chosen for their deep connection either to our local community or to Story’s transformative body of work. Each member brings a unique blend of expertise, heart, and lived experience — yet all share a common purpose: to create meaningful opportunities for people to discover greater freedom, empowerment, and connection within themselves. Together, they steward the Foundation’s mission and help carry Story’s legacy forward with integrity and vision.

Roger Hanson

Board President and Executive Director

Roger Hanson is the husband and longtime creative partner of the late spiritual teacher and author Story Waters, with whom he co-founded Limitlessness Publishing and shared a body of work exploring consciousness, connection, and self-awakening. A visionary artist, spiritual teacher, and internationally experienced facilitator, Roger brings together a master’s degree in spiritual counseling, corporate HR leadership, and years of teaching in the U.S., Europe, and Japan. Now living in Owego, New York, he continues his creative and community work through Owego Home and the Story Waters Foundation.

Amira Davis

Board Member

Amira Davis is a leadership consultant, author, and community advocate who helps organizations build cultures rooted in empathy, inclusion, and human connection. As Co-Owner and Director of Operations for D5 Consulting Group, she brings more than two decades of experience in corporate leadership, sales, and marketing, blending strategic insight with a genuine commitment to people. A graduate of SUNY Broome and Binghamton University, Amira has been recognized for her community impact through her roles with the Greater Binghamton Chamber, the American Red Cross, and local mentorship initiatives. Guided by the belief that empowerment begins with self-awareness, she approaches every endeavor with authenticity, purpose, and heart.

Dana Livoti

Board Member

Dana Livoti is a spiritual teacher, energy practitioner, and founder of Intuition NY, a meditation and wellness center in Huntington, New York. An energy intuitive, Reiki Master Teacher, Kundalini practitioner, and esoteric astrologer, she blends somatic practices, conscious movement, and energetic clarity into her work. Dana is the creator of modalities such as Embodied Alchemy™ and Intuitive Vitality™, and offers workshops, energy sessions, and community healing circles that guide individuals back to their inner truth. A longtime student of Story Waters and Roger Hanson, she continues to honor and integrate their teachings as she supports others in releasing what no longer serves, awakening their spiritual gifts, and living in deeper alignment with their soul’s purpose.

B Martin

Board Member

Barbara Martin worked closely with Story Waters and Roger Hanson for more than fifteen years, serving as Head of Customer Support, Editor, and Event Organizer for their international teachings and online community. Her calm presence, insight, and deep familiarity with Story’s work made her essential to sharing their message with audiences worldwide. Before their collaboration, she spent many years in the United Kingdom as an Educational Diagnostician supporting neurodivergent children and adults in identifying their strengths. She now lives in the Lake District of England and continues to support the Foundation with dedication and heart.

Damon Rutland

Board Member

Damon Rutland is the founder and CEO of Nomad Management, an international model and talent agency he established in 2001 to bring a more human-centered, respectful approach to the industry. A former model whose global travels inspired both the company’s ethos and its name (“Damon” spelled backward), he built Nomad into a globally recognized agency and relocated operations to Miami’s South of Fifth neighborhood. Under his leadership, Nomad has guided the careers of leading supermodels, including partner Coco Rocha, while maintaining a commitment to creativity, integrity, and well-being. Damon balances visionary business leadership with a grounded appreciation for community, simplicity, and quality of life.

Sandra Sedgebeer

Board Member

Sandra Sedgbeer is an alchemist at heart—an artist, explorer, and creator whose life has unfolded across a remarkable range of roles. A former magazine journalist turned author, editor, publishing consultant, and clarity mentor, she has also been a PR and marketing innovator, talk radio host, and long-time judge for the Independent Book Publisher Awards. Whether developing magazines, guiding authors, or conceptualizing new media, her work is united by a single thread: the art of transforming ideas into form and turning inspiration into reality.

Lee Harris

Special Advisor

Lee Harris is a globally respected energy intuitive, channeler, teacher, author, and musician, and an early collaborator of Story Waters. Since beginning his work in 2004 in England, he has built Lee Harris Energy into a worldwide platform offering workshops, retreats, online teachings, and channeled transmissions that support personal and collective transformation. His books—including Energy Speaks and the Conversations with the Z’s series—have become widely used guides for heart-centered, spiritually aligned living. Through his monthly Energy Updates, The Portal membership community, and live events, Lee provides grounded, practical insight for integrating spiritual awareness into everyday life.

Carolyn Palladino

Special Advisor

Carolyn Kowalski Palladino is a healthcare and nonprofit leader currently serving the Guthrie Foundation in New York, bringing a decade of experience in community impact, philanthropy, and organizational stewardship. Formerly the Executive Director of Tioga United Way, she led fundraising, partnerships, and grantmaking initiatives that strengthened local services across the region. Deeply rooted in Tioga and Broome Counties, Carolyn blends mission-driven leadership with operational expertise to advance programs that create measurable, community-focused outcomes.
