WRITER RESIDENCIES

The Writer Residency Program provides time, space, and inspiration for creators whose work explores consciousness, transformation, and self-empowerment—principles at the heart of Story Waters’ teachings.

Through the residencies, writers and artists are supported with workspace, mentorship, and opportunities for quiet reflection and creative expansion.

In return, residents give back through community engagement—offering writing workshops, art projects, or storytelling circles in places such as homeless shelters, correctional facilities, and local community centers. This reciprocal exchange ensures that creative expression becomes both a personal journey and a shared act of empowerment.

The program actively seeks diverse voices, especially those from marginalized or underrepresented backgrounds, and partners with local and national arts organizations to foster meaningful connections and amplify impact.

Public showcases, exhibitions, and digital features at the end of each residency help bring their work—and the message of conscious transformation—to wider audiences.

By nurturing artists who channel their truth and inviting them to share it within communities where hope is most needed, the Foundation transforms creativity into a vehicle for awakening, healing, and human connection.

APPLY FOR A RESIDENCY

We welcome writers who feel called to create work that speaks to the heart and invites deep reflection. If you’re interested in applying for a residency, please send an email that includes:

  • A brief writer’s bio

  • A summary of any published works (if applicable)

  • A description of the project you wish to work on during the residency, including the current stage of the work (beginning, middle, refinement, or completion)

Residency schedules are determined on a case-by-case basis, allowing us to align timing and space with the needs of both the writer and the Foundation.

To be considered, the subject matter of your writing must serve as a tool for introspection, offering insight, resonance, or transformation for the reader.

Please allow 2–3 weeks for review. We look forward to hearing your story and vision.
