THE STORY WATERS
FOUNDATION

FOR CONSCIOUS TRANSFORMATION

a 501 (c)(3) organization

Freedom is not something to earn, but something to remember within yourself.

Our Vision

Our vision is that writers, seekers, and creatives have accessible pathways to conscious transformation and live and express their truth with courage and joy - carrying forward Story’s legacy.

Our Mision

Connect seekers - especially those in underserved communities - with Story’s books at low or no cost

Operate a local retreat center known as The Bridge at Story’s Crossing which will:

  • Host residencies for writers and creatives

  • Offer retreats and workshops for seekers

  • Provide space for healing-arts practitioners to serve the community

Our Why

Story Waters spent his life helping others reconnect with their inner knowing. In the wake of his passing, we are called to ensure his wisdom and vision continue to empower others — not as static archives, but as living experiences of awakening, creativity, and inner freedom.

Now is the time to carry his message forward, nurturing spaces where others can write, dream, and transform.

THEORY OF CHANGE

If seekers gain access to Story’s teachings, supported space, and guided community practice, they will build inner resources and creative agency, which leads to durable life changes and work that uplifts others.

THE NEED

Many writers, seekers, and creatives—especially in underserved communities—lack (1) access to transformative teachings, (2) supported space/time to create and heal, and (3) community practice that sustains change. As a result, potential remains unrealized and personal/creative wellbeing stalls.

THE HYPOTHESIS

If people can access Story’s teachings, receive supported time/space, and engage in guided community practice, then they will build inner resources and creative agency that translate into sustained wellbeing and truthful self-expression—and they will ripple that impact into their own communities.

WRITER RESIDENCIES

The Writer Residency Program provides time, space, and inspiration for creators whose work explores consciousness, transformation, and self-empowerment - principles at the heart of Story Waters’ teachings. Through one to three month residencies, writers and artists are supported with workspace, mentorship, and opportunities for quiet reflection and creative expansion.

TRANSFORMATIONAL RETREATS

The Retreats Program invites seekers, writers, and creatives to step away from daily demands and immerse themselves in an environment designed for reflection, renewal, and conscious growth. Rooted in the teachings of Story Waters, each retreat offers a guided yet personal journey toward self-discovery and inner freedom.

COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS

The Workshops Program offers shorter, focused experiences designed to introduce participants to the principles of conscious transformation central to Story Waters’ teachings. While retreats provide deep immersion, workshops are typically held over several hours or a full day, allowing participants to explore these ideas in accessible, practical ways that can be integrated into daily life.

VOLUNTEERS

Giving isn’t only measured in dollars. Your time, energy, and care are powerful forms of support. Volunteers help us create the spaces, experiences, and connections that keep Story’s work alive and expanding.

HOW TO HELP

Every donation opens a door to healing, creativity, and awakening. As we build this nonprofit from the ground up, your support is essential. Your gift directly funds the programs, retreats, and teachings that keep Story’s work alive and accessible to all.
